MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic medical receptionist to join our team.

This is a part time role three days a week, days to be agreed.

 

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and experienced, enjoys patient contact to support the delivery of a high quality service. You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, flexibility, reliability and have an organised approach to work.

Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for a dependable and highly adaptable individual who is able to work independently and has the ability to fit in quickly as part of a team. 

The successful candidate will be a professional and committed individual with relevant experience working as a receptionist, ideally within a private clinic/hospital; however we would consider applications from individuals that have experience and a passion for patient/customer care within sales, retail or hospitality.

  • answering calls, taking messages and handling correspondence,
  • maintaining diaries and arranging appointments with patients,
  • acting as a receptionist and/or meeting and greeting patients,
  • typing, preparing and collating reports, letters,
  • maintaining filing systems,
  • managing patient databases,
  • liaising with relevant organisations and patients,
  • coordinating mail-shots and similar publicity tasks,
  • taking payments, logging or processing bills or expenses,

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £13,000.00 to £15,000.00 /year

HCA (HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT) WITH EXPERIENCE AS A PHLEBOTOMIST

 

We are looking for two enthusiastic HCAs to join our team.

 You will provide the highest standards and safe practices of care and service to clients attending for phlebotomy and other sample collections. You will be assisting our consultants during examinations and procedures. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To provide the highest standards and safe practices of care to our patients requiring phlebotomy and assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures.
  • To provide a prompt, efficient, professional service and to work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve best end to end patient experience
  • To ensure that all your contact with patients, clients, staff and visitors are courteous and professional and the service delivered meets with the agreed specified protocol and agreed turnaround time of results and / or reports to consultant clients.
  • To take responsibility for individualised patient care and to communicate any difficulties relating to his / her care as appropriate to the Manager.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Recent extensive experience in phlebotomy with a variety of patients groups including adults and children
  • Worked in a UK healthcare environment and be able to demonstrate experience of providing care to patients
  • Competency in adult and children phlebotomy using the Vacutainer System
  • A good understanding of pathology investigations
  • Understanding of health and safety, infection control prevention in the work environment
  • Understanding of the importance of patients’ confidentiality

 

Job type: Part-time

Salary: £14,000.00 to £15,000.00 /year
